Alberta Golf (Ponoka) – Round One of The Alberta Open presented by SVR Lawyers saw former champion Riley Fleming of Lynx Ridge Golf Club in Calgary shoot a blistering 6 under 65 on The links course at Wolf Creek Golf and RV Resort in Ponoka. Fleming’s round consisted of 8 birdies and one double bogey to lead 2019 Champion Andrew Harrison and Braden O’Grady by 3 strokes. Wes Martin, Aaron Crawford and Kent Fukishima are 4 strokes back at 2 under. 6-time champion Wes Heffernan was also under par.

The Alberta Open is the only Alberta Golf event to combine amateur and professional play. Sponsored by SVR Lawyers, this year’s purse is $30,000 with the winner collecting $8,000.
