At the top of our 2025 highlights, one of Alberta`s oldest and biggest events, the Alberta Open, got a monumental change in its 89th year. A Women`s division was added with Sydney Bisgrove being named the inaugural Alberta Open Women`s Champion and Katy Rutherford winning the low professional. ⁠

In 2025, Saylar May capped off her quest for the junior crown by adding to her 2024 U15 Girls` Championship with back to back U17 Girls` Championships and winning her first U19 Girls` Championship. ⁠

She joins a list of only 7 people to win both the U17 and U19 Girls` Championships in the same year. ⁠

This year, the Women`s Amateur had a little extra buzz around it with the addition of Blake and Sonja from the Club Twirls with the Girls! Their interviews, interactions with the players, and overall positivity helped us achieve a new direction for the championship. ⁠
