Martina Yu and Jenna Bruggeman lead Alberta Ladies Amateur Championship
Alberta Golf (Sherwood Park) – A very deep field at this year’s Alberta Ladies Amateur Championship at The Broadmoor Public Golf Course in Sherwood Park saw BC’s Martina Yu and Edmonton’s Jenna Bruggeman share the lead after round one at 2-under 70. Bruggeman and Yu battled last week in Carstairs at the Alberta U19 Championship before falling short of the playoff between Grace Bell and Eileen park, Bell was crowned u19 champion winning on the 4th playoff hole. Yu and Bruggeman were paired together in that final round at Carstairs and will be in the last group for round 2 at The Broadmoor. Sydney Scraba is one shot back with Katy Rutherford, Annabelle Ackroyd and Grace Bell well withing reach with 2 rounds to go.
