High Performance Program

Objectives & Mission Statement

The key objective of the High Performance Program is to support identified players reach their developmental and competitive goals while providing guidance in securing a post-secondary golf scholarship.  

The Program aims to achieve this through supporting athletes, coaches, parents and facilities through a tiered identification program that provides developmental training opportunities, appropriate competition, parent support and funding for players who qualify. 

Alberta Golf is committed to developing well rounded individuals as well as high performing golfers. The core values of the High Performance Program are inclusivenessrespect, ethical practices and support and ensuring these values are in place always is critical to the success of Alberta golfers.

    “Winning a winter long membership to the National Golf Academy was the most meaningful accomplishment for me since that kick started my golf journey.”

    “I do not have a favorite golf course and my career low round is 68.”

    What are hobbies you have outside of golf?

    “I love art and am mainly into drawing and sketching. I also play the flute and have prior experience with Saxophone.”

    “My first golf memory is playing with my parents for the first time at my home course in Springbank. At first, I thought it was a boring sport, but I’m glad that the sport grew on me. My parents (especially my mom) love this sport, so it has been a cool experience to grow and bond with my family over something we can all share.”

    “I am most proud of winning the Calgary Ladies Amateur in the summer of 2024, as I won the Calgary Ladies Junior tournament back in 2019”

    “Bounces back and forth between a course in Nevada called Reflection Bay and a course in the mountains here called Stewart Creek. Both are stunning in their own right and serve as a metaphor for my journey from playing golf as a child in Alberta to competing at a high level for my university team.”

    What are hobbies you have outside of golf?

    “I am currently vice president of the faculty of the Fine Arts Union and enjoy doing art outside of my studies and golf. In addition, I take notes for other students at the Student Disability Resource Center on campus and volunteer at my neighbourhood food bank.”

    “I don’t remember my exact first golf memory, but the one that stands out is how I fell in love with the game. When I was four, my family was on vacation in Phoenix, and the resort had a junior golf camp. My parents signed me up, and I loved it. A few days later, my dad took me on the course, and I was hooked. After we got home, I started lessons at Heritage Pointe and spent countless hours practicing. This experience sparked my passion for golf.”

    What golf accomplishment are you most proud of?

    “Qualifying for the Canadian Junior Boys’ Championship in 2023. Despite strong winds and rain, I stayed focused and shot an even-par 72—one of the lowest rounds of the day—which secured my spot. The pressure, the conditions, and what it meant made it one of my proudest moments.”

    Favorite golf course you’ve played?

    “TPC San Antonio is my favorite course. Everything about it—the challenge, the design, the conditions—made it an unforgettable experience. My career-low round is 67.”

    What are hobbies you have outside of golf?

    “I love being active and grew up playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. I also have a passion for photography, music, and cooking. I’m always experimenting with new recipes and have been surrounded by music my whole life, playing instruments and even participating in my junior-high band.”

    “Playing at Elbow Springs with my family and struggling on the course but it was all worth it because we got pizza after the round”

    “Getting a hole in one in a qualifier this fall”

    “My favourite golf course is Pinebrook because it feels like home and I love the people and the layout. My career low is a 66 which I shot in the u19’s.”

    “I like to go to the gym and hang out with my friends and doing other outdoor activities”

    “My first memory was a hole in one at Age 11 at Elbow Springs Golf Course; My most significant playing memory was an albatross at University of New Mexico GC.”

    What golf accomplishment are you most proud of?

    “Placing 2nd and 3rd in back-to-back Alberta U19 Championships; Winning an MJT event in each of all 4 years competing,   Finishing T11 as individual (and top Canadian)  and 6th as a teamat 2024 Junior America Cup in a stacked field”

    Favorite golf course you’ve played?

    “Favorite Course is Hermitage Golf Course (The President’s Reserve) in Nashville ; Career Low round is 63 (-9)”

    What are hobbies you have outside of golf?

    “Hockey, Serving Jesus”
