Foundation & Scholarships
Every year, the Alberta Golf Foundation awards deserving post-secondary students with scholarship funding, which is fundraised through their casino fundraisers and individual donations. Applicants must be residents of Alberta and attending a post-secondary institution. Scholarships are awarded based on academic standing and financial standing with no golfing experience required.

The Foundation’s mission is to support and promote programs that increase participation in golf by engaging players of all ages and abilities across the country.

Pat Fletcher ScholarshipThe Pat Fletcher Scholarship Foundation is a charitable organization that grants post-secondary scholarships to deserving young Canadians who show an ability as golfers. And while the Foundation focuses its efforts on reaching out to young people with an interest and ability in golf, the Foundation does not exist to only empower young golfers to become better golfers. The Foundation exists to empower young golfers to become better people – champions of their generation. Since the foundation’s inception in 1985, they have awarded 393 scholarships to young Canadian golfers, helping them to reach their highest potential, not only in golf, but in life. And, with the help of friends and supporters such as you, they look forward to building on that number.

PGA of Alberta ScholarshipsThe PGA of Alberta has a post-secondary scholarship program for junior golfers. Scholarships are awarded to those junior boys and girls who meet or exceed the scholarship criteria and winners are recognized at the annual buying show in October.

Youth On Course ScholarshipsA Youth on Course College Scholarship has the potential to transform the lives of members who are high school seniors and might otherwise lack access to higher education opportunities.The results speak for themselves with 40% of scholarship recipients being the first in their families to attend college.
